Biography Nunzio Capece was born in 1954 at Lucania; the 30th
of March (just like VG and Goya.)
He lives and has been working in Naples from 1996.

Art and Non-Art "He has been following
art and non-art (or anti-art) from the day Manzoni created "artists shit"
packaging his own shit; saying that any shit can be titled "art"...
Naturally <I'm joking... see example.)
"Sure, my vision may be a bit limited, but it's my impression... and yours?
"shit-art" seems so dominating that to avoid that my paintings become confused
and "packaged" with this stereo-type, I've decided to call it
"non-art", so therefore I consider myself as a non-artist or simply an
"author"...
Provocation? Genius? Oh, well...
Capece takes Manzoni's conceptual direction and turns it upside down, refusing to make art
and not worrying too much about defining himself...
But it's allowing a degraded stereo-type to behaviour coming from circumstances...
Because he, the master, knows art and most of all creates even though classing it as
non-art...
Here there's a grade of intuition, not very clear even to those creative people to whom
Capece wants to demonstrate to the world.
Where does this intuition come from?
He didn't want to go any further, only saying "post-modern" which unclear in its
own meaning could be the key to understanding.

Technical note Capece uses oil colours saying that acrylics are
suitable for walls and revealing himself as post-modern by choosing the traditional
techniques and using a spatula, obtaining cromatic softness but also alternatively
texture. This gives an extraordinary elegance to his works.
